K9 Freestyle Workshop

Date of Event: August 26, 2007Judy Gamet, BS Dance Education loves the challenge of combining her two loves, Dogs and Dance. Judy is the West Coast representative for the Canine Freestyle Federation and the owner of Dogs Can Dance.
Judy has experience training in competitive freestyle, rally & traditional obedience, tracking, conformation, and schutzhund.There are two workshops being offered; each is approximately 1 ˝ hours.1)Beginner's Class: 9:00 - 10:30 This class will introduce you to simple freestyle moves and concepts. The class will learn a short demonstration quality routine to the music "Tequila". Some obedience training is helpful, or training in another team related sport, but not required. Great for therapy dog teams! A CD of the music and instructions to the routine are included.2)Experienced Handler's Class: 10:30 - 12:00 this class is geared toward the handler who has already participated in canine freestyle or any of Judy’s Dogs Can Dance classes. Understanding how to show off your dog, selecting music for your dog to match their gait and personality, understanding the handler's role as a supportive team player in canine freestyle. This group will learn "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for future demonstrations in the LA area.
